Shipla arrived at Sreepur Village as a newborn and was diagnosed with polio in early childhood. Under the care of our founder Pat Kerr, she flourished despite her physical challenges. Though she never knew her biological family, Sreepur Village became her home.

Shipla built an independent life, married, and had a son. Tragically, her child passed away in 2020 due to liver complications during the pandemic. In his memory, Shipla saved portions of her salary for months to donate £150 for a special meal for current children at Sreepur Village.

Today, Shipla works as a production assistant at our Sreepur Mothers Artisan Foundation, creating handcrafted products that generate sustainable income for beneficiaries. Her story demonstrates how proper care and support can transform lives, creating cycles of giving that benefit entire communities.
