We are Thrilled to Announce: Canvas Home Small Grants Winner!
We are delighted to share that we have been selected as one of the winners of the 2025 Canvas Home Small Grants programme, administered by HANDMADE to MARKET.
About the Grant Programme
The Canvas Home Small Grants programme is a long-standing initiative sponsored by Canvas Home, providing artisan businesses with direct and immediate financial assistance to help lay the groundwork for sustainable income for artisans and their communities. Since 2013, this programme has supported over 34,000 artisans across 34 countries, awarding grants to 83 artisan enterprises.
This year, we are honoured to be amongst 10 new awardees from 8 countries, with 5 countries represented for the first time in the programme's history.
What This Means for Us
This grant will enable us to repair and maintain essential equipment that our 40 female artisans rely on to create sustainable livelihoods. The funding will support critical repairs to our sewing machines, flatlock machine, cutting equipment, and paper-making machinery, whilst also improving workspace lighting for safer working conditions.
The funding addresses key challenges we face, including equipment failures that have threatened production continuity and created safety concerns in our rural Bangladesh facility. This grant will restore income stability for vulnerable single mothers and their children, enabling them to fulfil orders for our Hold Everything Bags partnership and commercial packaging clients. The restored equipment will improve craft quality, operate more efficiently, and ensure our artisans can continue building brighter futures through skilled work rather than dependency.
Our Gratitude
We extend our sincere thanks to Canvas Home, Creative Learning, and the team at HANDMADE to MARKET for their generous support and commitment to empowering artisan communities worldwide. This recognition validates our work and provides crucial resources to help us grow sustainably whilst preserving traditional Bangladeshi textile techniques and producing high-quality, purpose-driven packaging products.
We look forward to sharing updates on the positive changes this grant will bring to our artisans and community.
