A Decade at Sreepur: Emma Gibbs Reflects on Ten Years of Supporting Vulnerable Families
This year marks ten years since Emma Gibbs joined Sreepur Village in a finance and administration role. After twenty years in recruitment in central London, Emma was ready for a change and found herself working for a small charity supporting vulnerable mothers and children in Bangladesh. Now UK Operations Manager, Emma reflects on what has kept her here for a decade, from the daily challenges of fundraising to the moments that remind her why it matters. She talks about her visit to Bangladesh in 2018 that brought the work to life, the relationships with supporters that sustain the charity, and why keeping families together remains as vital now as it was when she started.
