Honouring Our Trustee Sabbir

Sreepur Village is extremely proud to congratulate our trustee, Sabbir Karim, on being admitted to the Freedom of the City of London.

The honour recognises 31 years of humanitarian service. Sabbir has given his time, energy and compassion to helping people who need it most, and this award is a fitting tribute to that commitment.

Sabbir received his Freedom award at Guildhall.

Sabbir first visited Sreepur nearly three decades ago and has built a strong and lasting connection with the Village since. He was inspired by the remarkable dedication of our co-founder, Pat Kerr MBE, and her team, and he has consistently supported our mission to empower vulnerable women and children.

Sabbir also actively promotes Sreepur Village among his British Airways colleagues, honouring the role British Airways played in helping to establish the Village 35 years ago.

On behalf of everyone at Sreepur Village, thank you, Sabbir, for your dedication, and congratulations on this well-deserved recognition.
