Sreepur Village's 2026 Annual Picnic
Earlier this week, Sreepur Village's families came together for their much-loved annual picnic — a day filled with laughter, friendly competition, and pure joy.
The village grounds were transformed into a hive of activity as children and their mothers gathered for a packed programme of games and races. With a colourful "Picnic 2026" banner as the backdrop, staff welcomed everyone before the fun began.
The children threw themselves into the day with enthusiasm. Girls in their brightest outfits competed in ball games, while boys paired up for team races across the field — holding onto each other and laughing as they went. Ribbon twirling saw children spinning green and orange streamers through the air, creating a kaleidoscope of colour against the winter sky.
The highlight for many was the sprint races. Dozens of children lined up before dashing towards the red finish line, faces beaming with determination and delight. Mothers cheered from the sidelines, many having gathered on the low wall surrounding the field to watch their children compete.
