You smashed our Spring Livelihood Appeal - twice over
When we launched our Spring Livelihood Appeal in March, we set ourselves a goal of £5,000. You hit it in just two weeks.
So we raised the bar. A new target of £10,000 - and you cleared that too. By the time the appeal closed, our supporters had raised a total of £10,418.
Every pound raised will go directly towards livelihood training at Sreepur Village - practical, hands-on skills that help our mothers build a real future for themselves and their children. That means bicycle repair, tailoring, garment making, agriculture, and small business management. Not just skills for today, but a foundation for years to come.
Why livelihoods matter
Our mothers arrive at Sreepur Village having experienced abuse, abandonment, or bereavement. Many have never had the opportunity to earn an income of their own. Livelihoods training changes that.
Mahmuda trained in bicycle repair and went on to launch her own small business. Julekha learned tailoring and now earns enough to support her children independently. These are not isolated stories - across the programme, mothers who complete vocational training report an average income increase of 64%.
A thank you from Sreepur Village
This result belongs to everyone who donated, shared our story, or simply took a moment to spread the word. Your generosity is directly funding training places for our mothers - and the ripple effect of that reaches whole families and communities.
From everyone at Sreepur Village, and from every mother whose training your support has helped make possible - thank you.
