We are the only project in Bangladesh offering a safe haven and livelihood training to single mothers and their children, transforming their lives with independence, confidence and dignity. Sreepur Village has becoming increasingly well known throughout the country for empowering mothers and their children with hope for a brighter future.
Our Core Activities
Child and Mother Care
Safe accommodation, 3 nutritious meals per day, toiletries, clothing, psychological and legal services, parenting classes, life skill development, nutrition classes and Swim-safe classes.
Education
Kindergarten, Pre-School, Primary school for children aged 0-10. Children aged 11-18 attend local secondary schools. We also provide mothers’ literacy classes (Reading, writing and numeracy).
Healthcare
Medical treatments, vaccinations, surgical procedures, micronutrients, dental care, health and hygiene education.
Vocational Skills for Mothers and Community Reintegration
- Vocational skills training for mothers e.g. Garments manufacture, Tailoring, Agriculture, Goat and duck rearing, as well as money management and business skills.
- Reintegration House to help families slowly reintegrate into society and gain independence
- Long-term e.g. Home visits with social workers, help with opening bank accounts
