I have been involved with Sreepur Village for only 3 years and have responsibility for overseeing the finance function. As a chartered accountant with over 35 years’ experience in banking and finance in the UK, Australia and India, I wanted to find an avenue to “give back” as I passionately believe that the giving of one’s self to others is the ultimate food for the soul.

The appeal of Sreepur Village to me is not only the amazing work it does on the ground in Bangladesh, but also the genuine love, passion and care that not only the trustees have, but also the employed members of our team. Sreepur immediately harnesses a passion, love and care for its work… it is a rare and beautiful thing to see and it is what larger corporate enterprises strive to attain, but very rarely do. It is this passion which inspires me and gives me confidence that Sreepur will continue to have such an incredibly positive impact on some of the world’s most underprivileged citizens for many years to come.
